MODE is proud to celebrate the opening of Y Schools Queenslandโs Redlands Junior Campus at Victoria Point. A new learning environment designed to empower young people through wellbeing-centred education.
As Principal Consultant, Architect and Interior Designer, MODE led the design and delivery of the new Junior Campus, which forms part of The Y Queenslandโs growing network of alternative education schools across Queensland.
The single-storey campus stretches along the rear of the site, maximising northern light and cross ventilation, and includes a multi-purpose community hall, outdoor learning and play areas, general learning spaces, and hands-on training facilities for barista, kitchen and trade skills.
This project continues MODEโs collaboration with The Y Queensland (formerly YMCA Queensland), which began in 2017 and has since seen the delivery of multiple campuses across South East Queensland and Bundaberg, each tailored to foster safety, belonging and growth.
The opening ceremony featured a Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country by the Nunukul Yuggera Aboriginal Dance Company, followed by a ribbon cutting by Julie-Ann Campbell MP and Heather Allan, President and Board Chair of Y Queensland.
Congratulations to our client Y Schools Queensland, project managers Hammond & Neale, and everyone involved in bringing this meaningful project to life.
