Located within the Noosa Specialist Medical Centre on Hofmann Drive, the newly completed Noosa Day Hospital by Cura is the region's first standalone, purpose-built multidisciplinary day hospital.
Designed to meet the healthcare needs of the local community, the facility features a streamlined single-level layout backed by three fully integrated, state of the art operating theatres utilising cutting-edge clinical technology to ensure high precision and workflow efficiency.
The architectural layout has been meticulously planned around strict operational logic, separating clean and dirty pathways to optimize infection control. A key feature of this design is the integration of an advanced Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD), configured with a strict one-way linear workflow. Decontaminated equipment moves seamlessly from the wash area through sterilisation and directly into sterile storage adjacent to the surgical core, eliminating cross-contamination risks.
Complementing this backend efficiency is a carefully choreographed patient journey. Patients transition smoothly from admission through pre-operative holding bays into the surgical core, and lastly the staged recovery zones designed for continuous clinical observation before discharge.
