Rockhampton Sports Precinct, A Legacy for Central Queensland

We’re proud to be part of the team delivering the Rockhampton Sports Precinct, a major regional hub that brings together sport, recreation, health, education, and community connection on an unprecedented scale.

Currently under development just northeast of Rockhampton’s CBD and adjacent to CQU, the precinct will feature:

Stage 1:

  • 16 outdoor netball courts + clubhouse

  • Recreational park and play space with parkour, district play, and toddler area

Future Stages:

  • 6-court indoor sports complex with gym, café, admin, allied health & sports science

  • 3 multipurpose field tablets + 2 supporting clubhouses

  • Refurbished athletics precinct with new clubhouse & grandstand

  • 10:1 offset tree planting across the site

  • Integrated wayfinding, passive cooling, and green infrastructure throughout

At MODE, we’ve taken a holistic design approach, weaving together architecture, landscape, urban design, and wayfinding to deliver a climate-responsive, inclusive, and enduring legacy for the region.

The project is master planned to grow with its community, designed not just for sport, but as a place to learn, connect, and thrive.

We’re proud to be helping shape a future-focused precinct that celebrates sport, nature, and community.  Read More HERE:
