Shane is a highly respected Australian architect with over 35 years of national and international experience in architectural design, leadership, and practice. As Studio Lead for MODE’s Sunshine Coast team, Shane brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to the delivery of community, education, cultural, and urban projects across the region and beyond.

Shane has held key leadership positions as a founding principal and design director in some of Australia’s most established architectural firms, where he was instrumental in shaping design culture, guiding practice growth, and achieving international recognition. His work is known for its sensitivity to place, thoughtful materiality, and pragmatic approach to building design. He has led the design of many award-winning civic, cultural, educational, and residential projects across Australia and New Zealand.

Committed to advancing the profession, Shane has served on a number of industry and advisory boards, including as President of the Australian Institute of Architects (Queensland Chapter), National Councillor, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland.
