Port Macquarie Airport

MODE is currently working with a range of stakeholders to expand Port Macquarie Airport, an important asset for Port Macquarie–Hastings Council and gateway to the northern coast of New South Wales.

Collaborating with the architecture and interior design teams, MODE’s graphic design and wayfinding team are leading the development of a wayfinding strategy for the regional airport. The overall strategy is supported by a large feature mural at the centre of the airside terminal, embracing arriving passengers and farewelling those departing. Designed and illustrated by our graphic design team, the mural is a play on the Visit Port Macquarie brand promise; encouraging visitors to find themselves, to explore, play and connect, to come out of their shell at Port Macquarie.
