MODE worked with a range of stakeholders to expand Port Macquarie Airport, an important asset for Port Macquarie–Hastings Council and gateway to the northern coast of New South Wales.

Port Macquarie Airport Graphic & Wayfinding | Port Macquarie, NSW

Collaborating with the architecture and interior design teams, MODE’s graphic design and wayfinding team led the development of a wayfinding strategy for the regional airport.

The overall strategy is supported by a large feature mural at the centre of the airside terminal, embracing arriving passengers and farewelling those departing. Designed and illustrated by our graphic design team, the mural is a play on the Visit Port Macquarie brand promise; encouraging visitors to find themselves, to explore, play and connect, to come out of their shell at Port Macquarie.
