MODE was engaged by a private Indian based consortium, led by John Buchanan (former Australian Cricket Coach) for the development proposal of a purpose-built 55,000-seat cricket stadium in Kolkata, India.

The stadium design is part of a greater proposal package to the BCCI for a new Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise in Kolkata.

The stadium is proposed for an existing dilapidated stadium site and includes a greater master plan to revitalise the precinct into a true entertainment destination.
