This project consisted of the development of a Performing Arts and Music Centre to cater for the demands of both Albany Creek State High School and the local community.

Albany Creek SHS Performing Arts & Music Centre | Albany Creek, QLD

MODE were enaged by the client to design and document the landscape surrounds to their new Performing Arts & Music Centre.

The building was positioned to minimise disturbance to the existing vegetation and koala habitat and was planned to allow for ease of student and staff access, movement and circulation.

The resulting landscape is a smart urban design repsonse that creates outdoor performance areas of various scales, a strong sense of entry and an inclusive setting for all members of the school community to unite for school functions. The landscape is a bold statement that compliments the built form and will be easy to maintain as an appealing space over time.
