New Project Announcement – Strengthening Community in Glen Innes, Auckland, NZ

We’re thrilled to announce that MODE has been appointed as Lead Consultant for a new community housing development in Glen Innes, Auckland, in collaboration with NZ Strong.

This thoughtfully designed, mixed-tenure neighbourhood will deliver 90 new homes, including multi-generational dwellings, terraces, and apartment buildings—each crafted to foster social connection, cultural expression, and long-term accessibility. The development will feature:

  • Lifemark 5++ certified units

  • Homestar 6 & 7 sustainability targets

  • Patterned brick and profiled aluminium cladding

  • Community-focused landscape and wayfinding by MODE

As a Design & Build project, our Architecture, Landscape, and Wayfinding teams are working in close partnership with mana whenua and the local community to ensure the design reflects Glen Innes’ unique identity and enhances environmental resilience.
